Your organization must confirm their current fiscal year total expense budget to determine the indirect cost rate to be applied to your regular program grant(s). The Foundation implemented a new indirect cost rate policy effective for grants with a start date on or after Jan. 1, 2022. The new policy introduces a tiered approach for assigning indirect cost rates to project grants, based on grantees’ budget size. This change is a result of a deep dive analysis of the Foundation’s grantee portfolio and moves toward a more equitable grantmaking approach.
